I am engaged to a man I have lived, learned, and loved for the past nine years. We have two amazing children(a boy and a girl), and I have a beautiful older son who lives with his father in California. We spend a lot of family time camping, on the lake, playing golf, and snowboarding in the winter months. I enjoy working out, cooking, gardening, spending time with friends, and snuggling up with a good book.
In order for counseling to be effective for you one of the key components is to "click" with your counselor. I take a wholistic approach, which means I work with mind, body, spirit. The idea is to give you the tools you need to no longer need me. Life never came with a guidebook on dealing with life's challenges, and we for damn sure didn't learn from people around us, who had no clue what they were doing any better than we do. But thankfully there are people like me who are not only academically trained but intuitively skilled to help support people where they need it most. I consider us God's tools to help those who are unable to help themselves.
I always meet my clients where they are at with a solution-oriented focus. Cognitive Therapies are used to help you understand and process your feelings and behavior, all while showing your a better approach to the challenges you face. This is where the shift begins. This is the work that begins your new Well Deserved journey for your life!
"Where you are is a result of who you were, but where you go depends entirely on who you choose to be."
